City of Syracuse to Close Offices Thursday, Dec. 25 for Christmas

City of Syracuse administrative offices will be closed for the Christmas Day holiday on Thursday, Dec. 25. Trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day on Thursday and Friday. Crews will collect Thursday's trash and recycling on Friday, and Friday's trash and recycling on Saturday.

The yard waste drop-off site at the Department of Public Works, located at 1200 Canal St. Ext., will be closed to the public on Thursday, Dec 25. Emergency public works services can be reported to 315-448-8360. Cityline offices will be closed for calls, but residents can still submit service requests to Cityline via the SYRCityline app or online at syr.gov/cityline.

Metered parking will be free in the city on Thursday, Dec. 25.
