OMU celebrates Public Power Month in October

Owensboro Municipal Utilities celebrates Public Power Month in October, along with 2,000 other municipal power providers.

Public Power Month is an opportunity for OMU to celebrate you, our customers. As a resident of Owensboro, you live in a public power community. This means you own your electric, water, and telecommunications utility. You benefit from affordable and reliable services, a customer-focused philosophy, and a utility that cares about the overall well-being of your community.

Giveaways for Customers

OMU's celebration will begin with a customer giveaway each Wednesday of the month - October 2, 9, 16, and 23. OMU customers visiting the Customer Service Center at 2070 Tamarack Road will receive a gift on these dates.

Customer Appreciation Lunch

On October 16, customers may join us at the Customer Service Center for a free boxed lunch served by our Volunteer Team, starting at 11 a.m. and continuing while supplies last.

Free Document Shredding

On October 23, free document shredding will be available from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Customer Service Center, so that OMU customers may safely dispose of their records and documents.
