Rep. Steven Sainz to Host Road Naming Ceremony Honoring the Rachel Hodge Memorial Intersection Tomorrow

ATLANTA - State Representative Steven Sainz (R-St Marys), chairman of the House Interstate Cooperation Committee, will host a road naming ceremony to honor the Rachel Hodge Memorial Intersection TOMORROW, Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the Camden County Historic Courthouse in Woodbine, Georgia.

During the 2025 legislative session, Chairman Sainz sponsored a House Resolution which dedicates an intersection in Camden County as the 'Rachel Hodge Memorial Intersection.'

During the event, opening remarks will be provided by Chairman Sainz and Camden County Sheriff Kevin Chaney. The event will take place near the memorial site, which Chairman Sainz notes was chosen for its location along Memory Lane - the route Rachel regularly traveled to and from the Camden 911 Center, where she served the community as a communications officer.
