Pedestrian Fatally Injured on Bell Road
Update: The pedestrian fatally injured on Bell Road Friday evening is identified as Kira Phillips, 20, of Nashville.
The pedestrian fatally injured Friday at 5:40 p.m. in the 600 block of Bell Road is identified as a 20-year-old Nashville woman. Efforts are underway to notify her next of kin.
The preliminary investigation indicates a pedestrian was in the continuous left turn lane on Bell Road when she was struck by the driver of a northbound Nissan Versa who was turning left onto Rice Road. She was thrown into a lane of travel and struck by a second vehicle. She died at the scene. Both drivers stayed on scene and showed no signs of impairment.
