While Trump officials try to deny what Americans saw with their own eyes, Trump is focused on his $400 million ballroom: "I'm building, on top of everything else that I am doing, one of the greatest and most beautiful Ballrooms anywhere in the World."
Yesterday, masked federal agents, at the behest of Donald Trump, murdered Alex Pretti, an innocent U.S. citizen and ICU nurse, in broad daylight. Trump has turned federal law enforcement into a political tool and a weapon of chaos that has terrorized communities and gone after American citizens, lawful residents, and children, instead of delivering on his promise to deport "the worst of the worst."
Immediately after the horrific shooting, Trump administration officials took to the airwaves to slander the man murdered by federal agents, abdicate responsibility, and tell Americans not to believe what they are seeing with their own eyes.
On CNN this morning, Greg Bovino, Trump's senior official overseeing Border Patrol, repeatedly rejected - despite video evidence - that Pretti was attempting to help another person, and refused to explain how Pretti was endangering federal agents, saying "law enforcement doesn't assault anyone" and "it's too bad that consequences had to be paid." He went on to say that "The victims are the Border Patrol agents."
On Fox News, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem claimed that the federal agents' response was "part of protocol" and continued to blame Pretti for the agents' actions, saying his filming and legal concealed carry was "one of the reasons that we see situations like this unfold."
On Meet the Press today, when pressed if the Trump administration is asking Americans not to believe what they are seeing with their own eyes, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said "You shouldn't try to gaslight the administration about what happened" and lamented that "it's the administration that's being blamed" for Pretti's death. Blanche went on to claim "our agents are acting humanely."
On Fox News, FBI Director Kash Patel said "law enforcement officials on the ground…across the country are moving in the right direction…and we will prevail." Patel also refused to explain how Pretti was threatening law enforcement.
Meanwhile, as federal agents are terrorizing American citizens, Trump held a screening of Melania at the White House with a guest list of CEOs and billionaires, and is focused on building his $400 million gilded ballroom, writing just this morning "I'm building, on top of everything else that I am doing, one of the greatest and most beautiful Ballrooms anywhere in the World…This is a GIFT."
