NATCA Members are Ready for a Record-Breaking Spring Travel Season

Mar 31, 2026

This just in: U.S. airlines are expecting another record-breaking spring travel period, with 171 million passengers expected to fly, up four percent from last year, according to a forecast released by Airlines for America (A4A). That breaks down to an average of 2.8 million passengers per day and 26,000 daily passenger flights from March 1 through April 30!

NATCA members are ready to keep things running smoothly. Our members are highly skilled, and rigorously trained professionals show up to serve you, the flying public, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. That often means they miss out on their own children's spring breaks and valuable time with loved ones. Nevertheless, they remain committed to safety and to their work. Let's make sure the progress made to modernize the air traffic control system and invest in the people who keep it running continues this spring, and beyond.
