Carlson Library is kicking off the fall semester with its annual Club Carlson event. This year's theme is CarlsonCon.

From noon to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, students can stop by the library for an afternoon of games, food, crafts and more as Carlson Library transforms into an interactive convention.

Designed especially for new Rockets but open to all, Club Carlson: CarlsonCon offers a way to explore the many services, resources and spaces the library has to offer.

This year's theme highlights how the library supports students at every stage of their academic journey. Whether students are laying a foundation in their first semester or putting finishing touches on a capstone project, Carlson Library is there to help. During the event, students can meet library staff and subject librarians, learn about research and tutoring services, explore study spaces and learn how to access all the resources the library has to offer.

Guests can expect a variety of games, giveaways and chances to win prizes donated by local businesses. There will be free swag and school supplies (while supplies last), music, food and interactive activities that make it easy to connect with fellow students. Whether students are testing their skills in a trivia challenge or just grabbing a snack and relaxing between classes, there's something for everyone.

No RSVP is needed - students can just drop in and start building their best year yet. Club Carlson is more than a welcome event; it's a celebration of the resources and relationships that help Rockets succeed.
