Gov. Abbott, HHSC Announce SNAP Replacement Benefits Extension, Additional Counties Eligible
AUSTIN - Gov. Greg Abbott announced that HHSC received federal approval to extend the time SNAP recipients can apply for replacement benefits for food lost or destroyed by July flooding.
At the request of HHSC, the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Administration also approved SNAP replacement benefits for recipients living in Sutton and Zavala counties.
