In this context, the AI Board has discused the next steps of AI Act implementation. This includes the preration of guidelines by the Commission to bridge the most delayed standards, so stakeholders have guidance instruments while the standardisation process continues.

The AI Board endorsed the 2026 workplans for several subgroups. This was the last time the meeting was chaired by Denmark as part of the rotating Council Presidency, before the handover to Cyprus, which will assume the role of Chair with the beginning of their Presidency of the Council of the EU on 1 January 2026. The Board decided to continue with the rotation model for the Chair selection for the term of the Cypriot Council Presidency.
