President Vahagn Khachaturyan received Head of the EU Monitoring Mission Satu Koivu

The President of the Republic, Vahagn Khachaturyan, received the newly appointed Head of the European Union Monitoring Mission, Satu Koivu.

The President congratulated Ms. Koivu on assuming her responsible position and wished her productive work, emphasizing that the Mission's activities are of great importance in ensuring stability and security in Armenia's border regions.

He noted that the work carried out over the past four years has made a significant contribution to reducing tensions and fostering a peaceful environment. The President also expressed his readiness to provide support to the Mission in order to ensure its effective functioning.

Satu Koivu expressed her gratitude for the reception and trust, noting that it is a great honor to take on the leadership of this Mission during such an important period. She emphasized that she will continue to make every effort to ensure the Mission's effectiveness and to contribute to strengthening peace in the region.

During the meeting, the sides highlighted the importance of the role of the European Union Monitoring Mission for Armenia during this challenging period, within the context of efforts aimed at establishing peace in the region.

It was also noted that the Mission's activities are important for the citizens of Armenia, who highly appreciate its role in ensuring security and stability in border communities. The need to successfully bring the ongoing peace process to completion was also emphasized.
