Atlanta, Ga. - U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is delivering new resources for Georgia seniors.
Sen. Ossoff brought Republicans and Democrats together to expand services for Georgia seniors, including the construction of a new senior center in Rockdale County, upgrades to senior service facilities in Atlanta, the purchase of a new van for the Whitfield County Senior Center, and the purchase of ADA-equipped vehicles in Macon.
"Georgia's seniors will always be one of my top priorities," Sen. Ossoff said. "I worked with Republicans and Democrats to deliver resources that will improve the quality of life for seniors across our state."
Sen. Ossoff is delivering funding for the projects through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on February 3.

"This federal investment represents a significant commitment to the quality of life for Rockdale County seniors," said Chair and CEO of Rockdale County, JaNice Van Ness. "We are grateful to Senator Ossoff for his leadership in securing these critical resources for our community."
"Fulton County is grateful for Senator Ossoff's support for our seniors. These funds will make our senior centers safer and will enhance recreational and therapeutic programming, allowing thousands of older adults to continue to thrive within communities across Fulton County," said Fulton County Commission Chairman Robb Pitts.
"We are grateful for the efforts of Senator Jon Ossoff and his staff in securing $92 thousand for Whitfield County in the 2026 LHHS (Labor, Health and Human Services) Appropriations Act. These funds will be used to help purchase a new ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant passenger van for the Whitfield County Senior Center. This critical investment by our federal government will ensure full accessibility and safe transport of senior citizens we are proud to serve," said Bob Sivick, Whitfield County Administrator. "Whitfield County also looks forward to a continued close working relationship with our federal partners and officials in completing this process and future efforts and projects on behalf of residents and taxpayers."
"This investment will make a real difference for the people we serve. Transportation can be a barrier for many in our community, especially seniors and individuals with mobility challenges. These additional vehicles will help us reach more residents and provide reliable access to work, services, and community activities. We appreciate Senator Ossoff's support in helping us better serve Macon-Bibb," said Sarita Hill, Chief Executive Officer, Macon-Bibb Economic Opportunity Council, Inc.
