LACERS OPEN ENROLLMENT IS OCTOBER 15 - NOVEMBER 16, 2026

LACERS will accept applications for health plan changes, adding eligible dependents, and new enrollments from October 15 to November 16, 2026. Changes made during this period will become effective on January 1, 2027. If you do not wish to make changes, no action is required; your current LACERS health coverage will continue for the 2027 plan year. LACERS recommends reviewing the Open Enrollment material to stay informed of your benefit options. To help you prepare, here are key details for this year's Open Enrollment.

• Open Enrollment materials will be mailed in early October and will also be available online at lacers.org/health-benefits.
• Members under age 65, or enrolled only in a LACERS Dental plan, or participate in LACERS' Medical Premium Reimbursement Program (MPRP), or are not enrolled in a LACERS plan, will receive a packet containing a Health Plan Statement, an Open Enrollment Overview, and instructions on how to access the 2027 Health Benefits Guide online.
• Members age 65 and older with Medicare Part B only or A & B will receive a Health Plan Statement, an Open Enrollment Overview, and the 2027 Health Benefits Guide.
• Packets will be mailed to your Correspondence Address, or, if none is listed, to your home address on file as of August 19, 2026. Please note that the packets will not be forwarded even if you have a US Postal Service forwarding order. If you do not receive your packet by October 20, please visit lacers.org for the Open Enrollment materials.
• If you need a hard copy of the Open Enrollment packet, email [email protected] with the subject line: Requesting 2027 Open Enrollment Packet or Health Benefits Guide, and one will be mailed to you. You may also call (800) 779-8328 to request materials. Please allow 7-10 business days for delivery.

ATTEND AN IN-PERSON OR VIRTUAL OPEN ENROLLMENT MEETING

Open Enrollment meetings will be offered both in person and virtually. These sessions are intended to help members understand their health plan options for the upcoming plan year. Meetings include brief presentations by representatives from LACERS' Health, Dental, and Vision plan carriers, as well as a dedicated Question & Answer period to help members clarify details before making their decisions. LACERS staff will also be available to assist with forms and enrollment changes.
