Berlin-Global law firm Dentons has advised the Czech industrial holding PKD on its acquisition of the Heavy Duty Solutions business from insolvent Vollert Anlagenbau GmbH.
The sale of the Heavy Duty Solutions business - Vollert's largest business unit - by Vollert's insolvency administrator Marc-Philippe Hornung will play a key role in the overall restructuring of the insolvent company.
PKD, the purchaser, forms part of JLF Group of the Czech Falbr family and is a long-standing technology partner and supplier of Vollert.
The transaction will enhance the vertical integration of the Heavy Duty Solutions business and integrate Vollert's Weinsberg site, situated in the southern German state of Baden-Württemberg, into PKD's international production network. The Vollert Heavy Duty Solutions business will continue to operate under its name and be managed by Vollert family member Hans-Jörg Vollert. As part of the transaction, PKD will also acquire 90% of Brazilian subsidiary Vollert do Brasil to expand its service and sales activities in South America.
The transaction was signed on December 1, 2025. The closing is envisaged to take place in January 2026.
