New bus timetables for the 701 (North Ludlow), 702 (South Ludlow) and 722 (park and ride) will come into effect on 27 October [2025].
It follows productive discussions between Ludlow's three Shropshire councillors, council transport officers and the council's Cabinet member and deputy Cabinet member for transport, after concerns were raised by local bus users.
The aim was to agree the best timetables that could be provided for the town at no extra cost. The 701 and 702 will now run every 45 minutes, the 722 (park and ride) every 30 minutes. All services will serve Ludlow School.
The 703 service, added last year to cover drivers breaks will be removed. The 701 and 702 services will continue throughout the day to provide consistency for passengers.
The new timetables can be seen at:

722 Timetable - 27 Oct 25
Rob Wilson, Shropshire Council's Cabinet member for transport, said
"Whilst a formal consultation is planned in 2026, when the contract for all Ludlow town bus services is up for renewal, our focus was on supporting bus users through the winter months, and we explored various options to ensure an improved bus service is provided during this period - whilst recognising the general financial pressures the council faces. I want to thank Ludlow's local councillors, Shropshire Council officers and Minsterley Motors for working in partnership to help find the best solution for residents."
The changes, in summary, are as follows:
701 North Town service.
702 South Town bus service.
722 Park and Ride.
The Ludlow park and ride provides an express shuttle service from the ECO park to Ludlow Railway Station, Corve Street and the Assembly Rooms, this has been made possible with UK Government funding. Full service details, including fares and parking information can be found here.
