Children’s Medical Center Foundation Announces $2 Million Donation from Hogs for the Cause for Children’s Medical Center Plano Expansion

DALLAS, Sep 22, 2026 - Children's Medical Center Foundation, the fundraising arm of Children's Health℠ , the leading pediatric health care system in North Texas, today announced a $2 million donation from Hogs for the Cause to support the expansion at Children's Medical Center Plano. This donation is the third largest gift ever received for capital support to the Plano campus. In recognition of this support, the Outpatient Unit in The Pauline Allen Gill Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children's Medical Center Plano will be named Hogs for the Cause Outpatient Unit.

Hogs' investment will expand clinical capabilities in key program areas, including cancer and blood disorders, while increasing both inpatient and outpatient capacity to better serve North Texas families. The Pauline Allen Gill Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children's Medical Center Plano and Children's Medical Center Dallas is the largest program of its kind in North Texas and now treats more than 2,000 new patients each year. Continued growth across both campuses underscores the urgent need for expanded space and resources to support specialized pediatric oncology care.

Children's Health opened its Plano campus in 2008 to meet the needs of fast-growing communities north of Dallas, providing advanced care for families across Denton and Collin counties. Today, Plano continues to grow at an extraordinary pace. To meet this pressing demand, Children's Health opened a 395,000-square-foot patient tower in December 2024, tripling the campus's bed capacity from 72 to 212 beds with the addition of 140 inpatient beds and strengthening specialty services and programs, like the Gill Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. Hogs' support for the Plano campus helps the hospital provide leading-edge care and everyday comfort to families who spend extended time in treatment.
