Event presented in partnership with City of Orlando District 6 Commissioner Bakari Burns and the Orlando Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
WHAT:
Residents are invited to join Orange County Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Initiative, City of Orlando District 6 Commissioner Bakari Burns, and the Orlando Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and for this year's Community Resource Fair, "Bridging the Gap: Expanding Access to Resources & Wellness Expo." The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Grand Avenue Neighborhood Center located at 800 Grand Street, Orlando, Florida 32805.
The event is free and open to the public. This year's expo will feature a comprehensive approach to community support, including resources related to financial literacy, health and wellness, education, housing, and family stability. In addition, the event will include targeted sessions for youth, seniors, and families, with a special emphasis on nutritional education and overall wellbeing.
The focus goes beyond awareness; the aim is to ensure on-site access to support such as eligibility screenings, application assistance, wellness checks, and individualized assessments to residents and attendees.
