Nexon to Showcase The First Descendant at Tokyo Game Show 2025

An Upcoming Collaboration Following NieR:Automata to Be Revealed on Opening Day

TOKYO - August 28, 2025 - NEXON Co., Ltd. (Nexon) (3659.TO), a global leader in online games, will showcase its free-to-play third-person looter shooter The First Descendant at Tokyo Game Show 2025, which will be held at Makuhari Messe from September 25 to 28.


The First Descendant is a free-to-play third-person looter shooter, delivering high-quality graphics powered by Unreal Engine 5. In August 2025, the game launched a Season 3 "Breakthrough" update introducing exciting new content, including new characters and hoverbikes. The major update has been enthusiastically received by both existing fans and new players, adding to the continued popularity as the game marks the first anniversary of its July 2024 launch.

Nexon's decision to offer The First Descendant at Tokyo Game Show reflects our deep appreciation of the many committed Japanese players who make up the game's global community, as well as our desire to share its appeal to newcomers. Along with the booth offering an immersive experience of the game's world, there will also be special content available exclusively at the venue.
