Four-Way Stop at East 71st Street and South Irvington Avenue

8/11/2026

Due to a recent crash in the area, traffic signals are temporarily out of service at the East 71st Street and South Irvington Avenue intersection.

During this time, the intersection is operating as a four-way stop to ensure the safety and efficiency of traffic flow, and westbound lanes will be intermittently narrowed while crews work to replace the traffic signal along the northeast corner.

Lanes will remain narrowed until August 28 as repairs are made. During that time, drivers should expect traffic delays in the area and are encouraged to use caution, follow all posted traffic signage, and allow extra time when traveling through the work zone.
