ASEAN Friendship Concert 2025 unveils line-up of ASEAN artists

The ASEAN Friendship Concert 2025, themed "Melody of Unity, Rhythm of Friendship," will feature ten talented performers from across ASEAN member countries. Organized by Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) in collaboration with the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), the Ministry of Communications, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the concert celebrates regional harmony and the rich cultural diversity of Southeast Asia.

• The Voice of Brunei: Dila Junaidi

Radio Television Brunei (RTB) introduces Dila Junaidi, a versatile singer active since 2002. Known for her Jazz, Pop, and R&B influences, she has represented Brunei at numerous regional festivals, including the ABU Radio Song Festival in Myanmar (2015) and the ASEAN & Korea Music Festival in Indonesia (2022). Dila has also recorded duets with artists such as The Seeds and Rizal Rasid.

• Cambodia's Rising Star: Pach Kimmouy

Representing the National Television of Cambodia (TVK), Pach Kimmouy is one of Cambodia's most recognized contemporary singers. Her musical journey began in 2010 when she won Cellcard Star on MYTV, followed by standout performances in The Voice Cambodia Season 1 (2014) and I Am A Singer Cambodia Season 2 (2020). Known for her dynamic stage presence, she continues to inspire audiences through her soulful performances with Hang Meas Production.

• The Soul of Laos: Thinlamphone Mahavong

Lao National Television (LNTV) features Thinlamphone Mahavong, also known as Thinla, an artist celebrated for blending traditional Morlum music with pop, R&B, and dance influences. Her performances at international festivals, including the ASEAN Summits and AIPA ceremonies, have showcased Lao culture to the world, redefining global perceptions of Lao music.

• Indonesia's New Voice: Peter Holly

Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI) presents Peter Holly, an emerging Indonesian singer who rose to prominence after winning X Factor Indonesia in 2024. His debut single "Bersalah" and follow-up "Harusnya Tau" have established him as a powerful new voice in Indonesia's music scene.

• Malaysia's Vocal Powerhouse: Aina Abdul

Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) introduces Aina Abdul, one of Malaysia's most celebrated contemporary vocalists. Known for her powerful voice and versatility across genres, she gained fame as the runner-up of Mentor Legend (2014) and later won Vocalist of the World at the World Championship of Performing Arts. Her hits, including "Sumpah," "Semalam," "Sepi," "Terus Hidup," and "Jangan Mati Rasa Itu," have made her a household name.

• The Voice of Timor-Leste: Cidalia Goncalves Borges

Representing Timor-Leste, Cidalia Goncalves Borges began her musical career in 2005 and quickly became one of the country's leading artists. With her soulful performances and dedication to her craft, she continues to inspire audiences across the region.

• The Tenor of the Philippines: Adriane Roy Calangian

People's Television Network (PTV) showcases Adriane Roy Calangian, an accomplished tenor and soloist from the world-renowned Philippine Madrigal Singers. His remarkable vocal range and artistry have earned him multiple awards in national competitions, and his performances across Asia, Europe, and North America have brought Filipino music to international audiences.

• Singapore's R&B Icon: Hady Mirza

Mediacorp (Singapore) presents Hady Mirza, the winner of Singapore Idol Season 2 and Asian Idol (2007). Known for his smooth R&B vocals, Hady's charm and artistry have earned him lasting recognition across the region. He made a successful return to the spotlight through Gegar Vaganza 6, where he was named co-winner of the season and also achieved 1st runner-up at All Star Gegar Vaganza.

• Thailand's Modern Storyteller: Valentina Ploy

National Broadcasting Services of Thailand (NBT) introduces Valentina Ploy, a Thai-Italian singer-songwriter known for her emotional storytelling and heartfelt lyrics. In 2024, she performed at Taipei's Neon Oasis Fest and opened for Coldplay's Music of the Spheres World Tour in Bangkok, earning acclaim for her engaging performances.

• Vietnam's Young Sensation: Vo Hoai Anh

Vietnam Television (VTV) presents Vo Hoai Anh, a young artist admired for her expressive voice and modern style. The daughter of Meritorious Artist Vo Hoai Nam, she rose to prominence through the program Talent Rendezvous and has since become one of Vietnam's most promising new-generation performers.

The ASEAN Friendship Concert 2025 will be broadcast across the region in October, delivering a powerful message of friendship, peace, and solidarity among ASEAN nations through the universal language of music.
