Alongside the proclamation, the County of San Luis Obispo invites the public to town halls on May 22 and May 29 to discuss new housing initiatives.
San Luis Obispo, CA-"Affordable housing is key for our communities and local economy to thrive," said Cory Hanh, Long-Range Planning Division Manager for the Department of Planning and Building. "The County recognizes this and is taking strategic action with our communities, builders, and non-profit organizations to deliver grounded solutions that accelerate affordable housing production."
As part of this initiative, the County of San Luis Obispo's Planning and Building Department, in partnership with local non-profit housing providers, are hosting two town hall meetings focused on affordable housing efforts, including the establishment of a new Regional Housing Fund that will meaningfully support the creation of new housing opportunities.
