Florence Walktober 2025: Art & The Estuary
The City of Florence is participating in Lane Council of Governments and We Walk Lane's Walktober 2025!
Do you like walking for fun, exercise, or errands? Or wish you had more reasons to walk? Mark your calendar for Walktober 2025 - a month filled with walking in Lane County!
Throughout October, enjoy walks and tours including art walks, nature walks, historical walks, Coffee Shop Hop, walk challenges, and more. Whether art, horticulture, exercise, or making friends is your thing - you'll find a range of guided tours, group walks, and self-guided options to suit your tastes.Visit the Walktober Webpage for a full list of walks across Lane County or follow Walktober on Instagram.
In Florence, the Florence Public Arts Committee and Transportation Committee, along with the Community & Economic Development Departments, are leading the Art & The Estuary Walktober on Saturday, October 11, 2025. People are invited to visit the Florence Events Center, 715 Quince St., from 11 am to 2 pm, to learn about walking opportunities in Florence.
Then, members of the Florence committees will lead guided tours of the Siuslaw Estuary Trail and Florence public art at 11:15 am, 12:15 pm, and 1:15 pm. These walks will be accessible and open to people of all ages.
