WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Dr. Daniel Couture, a board-certified neurosurgeon with more than 25 years of experience caring for patients in the Triad, has joined Novant Health Brain & Spine in Winston-Salem.
Couture specializes in treating brain tumors, epilepsy, spine disorders and pediatric neurological conditions.
"I'm passionate about helping patients understand their diagnosis and regain a sense of control in their lives," Couture said. "Over the years, I've had the privilege of working alongside hundreds of patients and families in this community. My goal with each patient is to develop a personalized treatment plan that helps restore function and improve quality of life."
Couture earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He completed a neurosurgery internship at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center and his general surgery internship at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He then completed a neurological surgery residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and a fellowship in pediatric neurological surgery at Primary Children's Medical Center, part of the University of Utah School of Medicine, in Salt Lake City. Before joining Novant Health, Couture served as the endowed chair of pediatric neurosurgery and a professor of neurosurgery at Wake Forest School of Medicine.
