The City of Lewisville announces the closure of some facilities this weekend due to the incoming inclement weather. The City also wants to remind everyone two publicly-accessible warming centers will be open to help people in need.
CITY FACILITY CLOSURES
A decision on if/when these facilities will reopen on Monday, Jan. 26 will be made over the weekend and is dependent upon the weather conditions. Announcements will be posted on cityoflewisville.com and on the City's Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Frederick P. Herring Parks & Recreation Center, 191 Civic Circle
Salvation Army Lewisville, 880 Fox Avenue
There are no age restrictions, and these warming centers are open to anyone who needs to use them, but there are some rules at each location. Those rules are:

The front desk at the Tittle McFadden Public Safety Center will close on Friday, January 23, at 11:30 a.m. and will remain closed through Sunday afternoon.
Depending on weather conditions, the front desk may reopen on Monday during normal business hours. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more information becomes available.
Due to anticipated inclement weather, Thrive will close early on Friday, Jan.23, at 5 p.m. The facility will remain closed throughout the weekend and is currently expected to reopen on Monday, Jan. 26, with a potential delayed opening, depending on weather and road conditions.
