All-night bluff work this weekend to cause noise disruptions

SANDAG is warning that round-the-clock work along the railway this weekend will cause significant equipment noise and parking restrictions on 9th Street.

A concrete pump to be positioned at the bottom of the street will generate noise. So will backup alarms from the nonstop coming and going of concrete trucks starting at 4 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, and continuing into the evening of Jan. 26.

No-parking restrictions are scheduled for lower 9th Street and nearby sections of Stratford Court.

The work is part of SANDAG's Del Mar Bluffs Stabilization 5 project and will coincide with a full closure of the railway for passenger and freight trains.

Night work on the bluffs is expected to continue through mid-2027.
