Chief Justice Jensen to Present State of the Judiciary
PIERRE, S.D.- On Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025, South Dakota Supreme Court Chief Justice Steven R. Jensen will deliver the 2025 State of the Judiciary.
Chief Justice Jensen will discuss the importance of public trust, access to the courts, indigent criminal defense, civil access to the courts, probation and pretrial services, treatment courts, and courthouse and judicial security.
The State of the Judiciary will take place at 10 a.m. CST in the South Dakota House of Representatives in the State Capitol in Pierre. The address will be livestreamed on South Dakota Public Broadcasting and SD.net. The livestream link will also be available on the UJS's website at https://ujs.sd.gov.
