I-805/SR-163 Connectors Closed Evenings October 12 to 16

SAN DIEGO - Caltrans will close the northbound Interstate 805 (I-805) connector to northbound State Route 163 (SR-163), southbound I-805 connector to southbound SR-163, and northbound SR-163 connector to northbound I-805 each night from Sunday, October 12 to Thursdays, October 16 from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. for broadband installation.

Northbound I-805 motorists may exit onto eastbound Balboa Avenue and connect to northbound SR-163.

Southbound I-805 motorist may continue south to westbound I-8 connector and proceed onto southbound SR-163.

Northbound SR-163 motorists may continue north, exit onto eastbound Balboa Avenue, continue on southbound SR-163, and connect to northbound I-805.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
