Career Fair Coming to Dixon

Recruitment, human resources searching for candidate, hiring or finding staff for vacancy, marketing search for client or customer concept, business people searching with binoculars and megaphone.

The Illinois Department of Central Management Services (CMS) is hosting a series of State of Illinois Career Fairs this September. These events will take place across the state to provide residents with the opportunity to explore job opportunities with the State and connect directly with hiring managers.

This week the Career Fair is coming to Dixon. House Minority Leader Tony McCombie is encouraging area residents to check it out:

  • September 18, 10am - 2pm: State of Illinois Career Fair
    ​Location: Dillon Mall at Sauk Valley Community College, 173 IL-2, Dixon, IL

All events are free and open to the public. The fair will provide information geared toward career changers, college students, first-time job seekers, and mid-to-senior-level professionals. There will be representatives from various State agencies present to discuss roles in healthcare, education, engineering, finance, corrections, and more. Current openings offered include entry-level, seasonal, full-time, and supervisory positions-and attendees can access information on how to apply for State jobs, create a job profile, and set up job alerts.
