Wastewater Averaging

During the winter months when outdoor irrigation is typically lower, the City of Cedar Park re-averages each resident's usage to calculate their sewer (wastewater) charge for the year. This process is known as Wastewater Averaging.

Wastewater Averaging allows Cedar Park Residents to save money year-round, and you can participate by shutting off your irrigation systems for the winter months (mid-October- February). Lawns are typically dormant during this time and do not need watering, so turning off your irrigation can help save you a bundle on your water bill.
