Kamlager-Dove Statement on Three Years Since October 7th

LOS ANGELES, CA - Today, Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove (CA-37) released the following statement on three years since Hamas' October 7th terrorist attack on Israel:

"October 7th is a deeply painful day for so many here in Los Angeles and around the world. Today, we remember the nearly 1,200 innocent lives murdered on the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust, as well as the dozens of hostages who died in Hamas captivity. We also remember the immense pain, suffering, and loss experienced by both Israelis and Palestinians in the war that followed, including the tragic deaths of 60,000 civilians in Gaza.

As the representative of one of the largest Jewish populations in the country, I've often heard from members of the community that the pain of this day is revisited every time they read about the rise in antisemitic attacks targeting Jewish houses of worship, businesses, and beloved community members. I will always stand firm against antisemitism and hate in all forms.

There can never be another October 7th, nor a repetition of the brutality and suffering that followed. As we reflect on the pain of the last three years, we must continue pushing for lasting peace in the region through a two-state solution that allows both Israelis and Palestinians to live with dignity, security, and freedom."
