A veteran of Marvel, Disney and Mattel, Silverman will drive growth across consumer products, live experiences, publishing, partnerships and e-commerce for physical products
LOS ANGELES, CA - OCTOBER 1, 2025 - Paramount, a Skydance Corporation, ("Paramount") (NASDAQ: PSKY) today announced that Josh Silverman will join the company as President of Global Products & Experiences, effective October 6, 2025. Silverman is a veteran of leading consumer and entertainment companies, including Marvel Entertainment, The Walt Disney Company and Mattel. Leveraging his deep expertise in global franchise strategy and brand management, Silverman will oversee a portfolio that includes consumer products, live experiences, publishing, partnerships, and e-commerce for physical products, reporting to Paramount President Jeff Shell.
Silverman's appointment supports the company's strategic focus on growing key business areas driven by its creative strengths and exceptional storytelling. Silverman will partner with leaders at Paramount's iconic brands, including Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon and others, to bring stories to life in new ways.
Silverman will join Paramount from Mattel where he has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Franchise Officer. While at Mattel, Silverman significantly expanded its global consumer products business and live and location-based entertainment offerings. He spearheaded the execution of over 165 consumer product partnerships and retail tie-ins for the Barbie movie, and drove major initiatives, such as the World of Barbie traveling exhibit, Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live, and the upcoming Mattel Adventure Parks.
Prior to Mattel, Silverman held senior leadership roles at Marvel Entertainment and The Walt Disney Company. At Disney, he drove growth of the consumer products business from $37.5 billion to $54 billion in retail sales over a decade, as well as overseeing The Disney Stores, and commercialization for Disney Interactive and Disney Publishing. He also led global business development at Marvel, structuring strategic partnerships and managing brand strategy across divisions post-acquisition by Disney.

About Josh Silverman
Most recently, Josh Silverman served as Executive Vice President and Chief Franchise Officer of Mattel. He joined Mattel in 2022. In his role, Silverman oversaw franchise management, consumer products, publishing, promotions, location-based entertainment, live experiences, digital gaming, music, and licensed entertainment in addition to development, production, distribution and content for Mattel Television Studios.
Since joining Mattel, Silverman expanded the company's global consumer products and publishing businesses, as well as live and location-based entertainment such as the World of Barbie traveling exhibit, Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live, and the upcoming Mattel Adventure Parks. Most notably, Silverman oversaw the execution of more than 165 consumer products partnerships and retail tie-ins related to the Barbie movie.
Prior to joining Mattel, Silverman held senior leadership roles with The Walt Disney Company and Marvel Entertainment, most recently serving as Executive Vice President, Global Third-Party Commercialization for The Walt Disney Company leading Disney's consumer product licensing business, third-party retail, and flexible business models. Prior to that, Silverman was Executive Vice President of Global Franchise Licensing for Disney Consumer Products, responsible for the global consumer products licensing business and franchise management. His role also included time overseeing creative and product development, The Disney Store business, and commercialization for Disney Interactive and Disney Publishing Worldwide.
Between 2001 and 2010, Silverman worked at Marvel, where he began as a corporate attorney in the Business and Legal Affairs group before his promotion to Senior Vice President, Global Business Development and Licensing Operations. In this role, he was responsible for structuring strategic partnerships and licenses.
Following the acquisition of Marvel by The Walt Disney Company, Silverman was promoted to Senior Vice President of Global Strategy, Business Development and Brand Management and worked across Marvel divisions on global strategic and tactical matters and corporate brand management.
Silverman received his undergraduate degree from Ithaca College and his law degree from Brooklyn Law School.
