The Court Services Office received a recent report of debtors in bankruptcy cases being contacted by a phone number appearing to be from the local bankruptcy court, otherwise known as "spoofing," asking the debtor for an installment payment via Zelle. Other courts have reported their debtors receiving these calls. The Bankruptcy Court will never call and ask you for a payment over the phone.
