Summer in San Gabriel Heats Up with Culture Fest on June 13

San Gabriel's summer series will kick off with its first-ever Culture Fest. The event will be held in the vibrant Mission District on Thursday, June 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Culture Fest will feature mesmerizing cultural performances, live music, delicious authentic cuisines, arts and crafts for kids, community booths, and family fun activities, celebrating diverse cultures from around the world.

Following Culture Fest will be a series of free outdoor concerts, movies and events. Residents and visitors are invited to bring their blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the below experiences throughout June, July and August:

• Thursday, June 20 at 7 p.m.: Elliot Caine Band concert at the Mission Playhouse
• Thursday, June 27 at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.: Country music concert featuring The Silverados and movie screening of Wonka at Vincent Lugo Park
• Wednesday, July 3 at 5 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.: Independence Day celebration at Gabrielino High School
• Thursday, July 11 at 7 p.m.: Concert featuring Amanda Castro Band at Mission Playhouse Plaza
• Thursday, July 18 at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.: Kids' concert featuring Mr. Markus Music & California Joe and movie screening of Super Mario Bros. Movie at Vincent Lugo Park
• Thursday, July 25 at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m..: Concert featuring Rosalie Elena Rodriguez and movie screening of Migration at Vincent Lugo Park
• Tuesday, August 6 at 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.: National Night Out hosted by the San Gabriel Police Department at the Mission District
