IPA CIS and Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law Sign Cooperation Agreement

A cooperation agreement was signed in Moscow between the Secretariat of the Council of the IPA CIS and the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation.

The document was signed by IPA CIS Council Secretary General Dmitriy Kobitskiy and Director of the Institute Talia Khabrieva.

Dmitriy Kobitskiy described the agreement as an important step toward strengthening the scientific support of integration processes across the CIS and enhancing cooperation in the fields of model lawmaking and legal development.

"The activities of our organizations are closely aligned and pursue a common goal - improving the national legislation of CIS Member Nations and developing effective mechanisms of cooperation within the Commonwealth," he said.

Kobitskiy also invited representatives of the Institute to participate in the roundtable discussion "Legal Science in the Architecture of Interparliamentary Dialogue: New Approaches to Developing Model Acts," which will take place on June 26 at the Tavricheskiy Palace as part of the 14th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum.

The Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law is a multidisciplinary research center specializing in theoretical and applied legal studies. It contributes to legislative drafting and legal scholarship and is actively involved in training young professionals, including through its International School for Young Lawyers, which brings together participants from CIS countries and beyond.
