Patching Program to Begin on State Street on Tuesday, May 12

May 8, 2026 - Beginning Tuesday, May 12, 2026, work begins on State Street from 17^th Street to 23^rd Street as crews make improvements to the roadway and sidewalks in the downtown area.

This project includes full-depth concrete patching, utility structure repairs and adjustments, sidewalks, pedestrian ramps, and other work associated with the replacement of approximately 2,526 square yards of existing pavement and 5,874 square feet of existing sidewalk.

To ensure the safety of the traveling public and the construction workers onsite, there will be lane closures that move from day to day on State Street. These lane closures will last for the duration of the project. The first phase of the project will be completed by July 3, 2026, and the second phase will begin after the City of Bettendorf's 4^th of July Parade, if needed and weather permitting.
