Test of the Emergency Notification System on Friday, September 12

IUP will test its Emergency Notification System on Friday, September 12, at 10:00 a.m.

The test will include text messaging, voice calls, email, and desktop alerts.

The email will go to everyone in the @iup.edu email system and will include information on how to sign up or verify information on IUP's emergency notification system. This system is reserved for critical safety and security messages, including weather emergencies. Step-by-step instructions to update information or to register are available on the Emergency Notification System page. This page also provides information on registering for the free Everbridge app on a mobile device.

Parents, family members, and community members who wish to receive emergency messages are welcome to do so. To keep the system running as efficiently as possible, anyone wishing to be added to the system should text "alert" to 888777.
