BJS Releases Federal Law Enforcement Officers, 2023 - Statistical Tables
The Bureau of Justice Statistics, in the Department of Justice's Office of Justice Programs, released Federal Law Enforcement Officers, 2023 - Statistical Tables today. This report presents statistics on full-time federal law enforcement officers who were authorized to make arrests, carry firearms, or both.
It is the 10th in this series and describes job functions and demographic characteristics of federal law enforcement officers. Findings in this report are from the 2023 Census of Federal Law Enforcement Officers, which BJS has conducted periodically since 1993.
