RENO, Nev. - Costumes, candy and community spirit will take center stage as NV Energy and FKP Global Services invite families from across Northern Nevada to the 4th Annual Trunk or Treat, set for Friday, Oct. 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. at NV Energy's 1 Ohm Campus in Reno.

The free event will transform the campus parking lot into a family-friendly Halloween destination featuring decorated trunks, treats, games and activities designed to bring neighbors together in a safe and welcoming environment.

Hosted by FKP Global Services and supported by NV Energy and the NV Energy Foundation, the annual event has grown into a popular community tradition that celebrates family, culture and connection. FKP Global Services is dedicated to preserving and celebrating Polynesian heritage and creating opportunities for community engagement throughout Northern Nevada.

The event also highlights the impact employees can have beyond the workplace. NV Energy lineworker Tali Kavapalu, who serves on the FKP Global Services Board of Directors, has played an important role in helping organize and grow the event over the years.

This year's Trunk or Treat is supported through a $2,500 grant from the NV Energy Foundation, helping ensure families can enjoy a fun and memorable Halloween experience at no cost.

Supporting organizations that strengthen communities and create opportunities for connection is a key part of the NV Energy Foundation's mission. In 2025, through the combined support of NV Energy, its employees and the NV Energy Foundation, more than $6.4 million was invested in nearly 300 nonprofit organizations across Nevada.

NV Energy employees are also deeply involved in community service efforts. In 2025, 63% of employees participated in charitable giving and volunteer activities, contributing more than 38,000 volunteer hours to organizations throughout the state.

Community organizations, businesses and volunteers are encouraged to participate by decorating trunks and helping create a memorable experience for local children and families.

Families are invited to come in costume, enjoy the festivities and celebrate the community connections that make Northern Nevada a special place to live and work.
