XREAL AURA: Wired XR glasses to watch, work, and play

Today, together with XREAL, we officially launched XREAL AURA, the first wired XR glasses powered by Android XR. 1

AURA is a totally new way to use Android XR. AURA's XR glasses lenses are transparent, so you can see the real world with your own eyes while projecting spatial content onto your field of view. It makes it natural to use it around your house, at the office, or on a plane. Plus, the 70-degree field of view gives you plenty of room to see more of your spatial and 2D apps all at once. Gemini on Android XR understands what you're seeing and doing, both in the real world and on your screens, so you can have a natural conversation to get help across your apps.

AURA's glasses are also under 95 grams, because the heavy processing happens in a portable compute puck, connected by a cable. It holds the battery and the new Snapdragon® Reality Elite platform from Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., which debuts on AURA, so you get the best of both worlds: high-performance spatial computing and lightweight comfort.

Android XR brings the helpfulness of Gemini and millions of your favorite apps from Google Play, including over 150 apps made for XR, to AURA. So wherever you are, you can work, watch, and play with Gemini by your side on AURA's unbounded canvas.

On AURA, you can open up multiple apps at once, like your browser, work documents and your music app, and arrange them around you at any size. Pair a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, or use the puck as a trackpad, for a complete desktop setup anywhere whether you want a massive, multi-monitor display from your couch, at a hotel desk, or on an airplane tray table.

With Wired Mirroring, your laptop can join in, too. Plug it into AURA with a USB-C cable that supports video output, and its screen appears as a window you can resize and place anywhere. There's no software to install and you can use it side-by-side with your Android XR apps on AURA. And because the display is visible only to you, you can open a confidential document in a public space with peace of mind.
