Winter Storm Blair continues to cause widespread disruptions including interstate and airport shutdowns across the Mid-Atlantic and Central U.S. Some areas have already received over 18 inches of snow, and blizzard conditions and wind gusts exceeding 40 mph have been reported in Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri. Areas just south of the main band of snow might see a wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain, generally near and north of I-20 from northern Louisiana to Georgia. This could lead to delayed and hazardous travel in these areas, with some roads possibly becoming impassable.
Power outages have impacted more than 350,000 customers across Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Virginia, Washington, and Maryland, and it could take days before power is fully restored and roads are cleared.
All Mansfield carriers in the Northeast and Central regions are operational, though some are experiencing slower transit times while keeping trucks on the road. Mansfield is prioritizing critical deliveries to prevent runouts or delays.
Mansfield is keeping the following states in Code Orange, requiring 48 hours for new deliveries: Maryland, New Jersey, Kentucky, Virginia, Missouri, Washington D.C., Arkansas, Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio.
Another Winter Storm named Cora is forecasted to hit Texas on Thursday and move across the nation. Mansfield pre-stocked inventory-managed sites and treated fuel with additives and kerosene to prevent gelling and optimize cold-weather performance. Customers who have not done so already are encouraged to enroll in Mansfield's ColdPRO program or contact [email protected] for assistance. Our team remains available 24/7 to provide support during these severe weather events. Stay safe and warm as we navigate Winter Storm Blair and prepare for Winter Storm Cora.
