U.S. Chamber Endorses Rep. Marilyn Strickland for Washington’s Tenth District

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced its endorsement of Rep. Marilyn Strickland for Washington's 10th district. The U.S. Chamber endorses candidates for federal office who will support policies that drive innovation, grow the economy, and create opportunities for American businesses and workers.

"Rep. Strickland has been a consistent champion of small businesses and has repeatedly demonstrated that she is committed to creating a thriving community in the South Sound," explained Chris Eyler, Vice President, Northwest Region for the U.S. Chamber. "The U.S. Chamber is proud to endorse her re-election, and we look forward to continuing our work with her in the 120th Congress."

"When I first ran for Congress, I said I would always fight for your small business, to keep good-paying jobs here at home, and to grow our economy," said Congresswoman Strickland. "That's what the U.S. Chamber of Commerce focuses on, and it's why I am grateful to have their endorsement alongside labor unions representing tens of thousands of workers who fuel our economy. I'm running for re-election because I want to keep bringing people together to get things done: To cut more red tape for small businesses, make more investments in our infrastructure, and make sure workers have the tools, training, and wages they need to succeed. Smart policies like these will help grow our economy and support small businesses and workers who are struggling with rising costs."

"Congresswoman Strickland understands the needs of South Sound employers and has made meaningful engagement with the business community a priority," said Tom Pierson, President and CEO of the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce. "Her willingness to work across the aisle has helped advance pragmatic solutions that support economic growth and business success."
