CTIA Files Comments on Upper C-band Radio Altimeter Rebate Public Notice

CTIA filed comments in response to the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau's ("Bureau") Public Notice seeking comment on the Upper C-band radio altimeter rebate program. We asked the Bureau to provide clear eligibility rules and baseline estimates to make the program more efficient and predictable. In particular, we ask the Bureau to clarify the difference between radio altimeter upgrades versus replacements. We also ask that the Bureau clarify aircraft model eligibility, and in coordination with the FAA, issue baseline estimated aircraft counts to provide transparency to stakeholders.
