South Elm-Eugene Street Lane Closure Set for June 17

Beginning Wednesday, June 17, one southbound lane of the 3500 block of South Elm-Eugene Street, from West Vandalia Road to West Lakefield Drive, will be closed from 8 am to 4 pm due to hydrant repair work. The work may cause minor traffic delays. See the map below for the location.

Signs and traffic cones will be in place, and motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid the area. Dates and times may change due to weather or last-minute changes in the work schedule

If you notice discoloration or cloudy water coming from your tap after the repairs, run cold water for a few minutes through a faucet without an aerator, such as an outside spigot or the bathtub, until clear.

For water and sewer emergencies, including main breaks and sewer stoppages, or changes in the taste, odor, or color of drinking water, call Water Resources 24-hour Dispatch at 336-373-2033.
