"The memorandum of understanding (MOU), signed by President Trump, is now publicly available to the American people for review. It deserves critique by people who want the outcome to place America and her allies in a safer future. It is important that the lead negotiator for the Administration, Vice President JD Vance, be given an opportunity to provide a full accounting of the negotiations. Any agreement to financially empower an unstable Iranian regime that hates America and her allies would seemingly hand it the means to potentially grow into a regional superpower. Any outcome that arises from this agreement must be one that respects its neighbors and the stability of the region. My review of the MOU raises serious questions that must be answered before this is finalized, and I believe the Administration's own negotiators owe the American people visibility. I look forward to hearing from Vice President JD Vance and his negotiating team. They should be clear about what the Iranians walk away with and what the new future will look like. The American people deserve to have these answers to key consequential issues relating to our global security. These are the conditions of peace that withstand the tests of time. May God bless Texas, and may God bless the United States of America." ### |
