Derrick Van Orden voted to strengthen our military & ensure our safety

September 11, 2025

Derrick Van Orden is once again delivering for Wisconsinites and our troops.

Van Orden just voted for commonsense, bipartisan legislation that builds a capable, and lethal military ready to keep our nation safe and deter our adversaries by:

  • Investing over $900 billion to fight drug trafficking
  • Improving quality of life for service members with a 3.8% pay raise and improved benefits for military families
  • Authorizing nearly $900 billion for national defense discretionary programs
  • Reauthorizing and expanding military bonuses and special pay raises for service members
  • Authorizing full funding for the Golden Dome, F-47 fighter aircraft, submarines, warships, and autonomous systems
  • Reforming the DOD acquisition process, ensuring the efficient delivery of innovative new technologies to the warfighter
  • Ending left-wing ideology, wokeism, and DEI in the U.S. military
  • Authorizing over $361 million for new childcare facilities, $577 million for military medical facilities, and $147 million for new schools for military families

"Derrick Van Orden's vote ensures that our troops and their families are supported, our military is fully funded, and focused first and foremost on lethality and strength. Under Van Orden's watch, our adversaries are trembling and Wisconsinites are safe." - NRCC Spokesman Zach Bannon
