Sacramento - Caltrans' work on the U.S. Highway 50 (US-50) Multimodal Corridor Enhancement "Fix50" Project continues with a 55-hour closure at the northbound State Route 99 (SR-99) connector to westbound U.S. Highway 50 (US-50) scheduled from Friday, January 10 at 10 p.m. through Monday, January 13 at 5 a.m.
Caltrans does not anticipate heavy dust or noise impacts to nearby city streets.
Suggested Detours
The ongoing work is part of a $483.5 million project to rehabilitate pavement and add 14 lane miles of high-occupancy lanes from the US-50/Interstate 5 interchange to the US- 50/Watt Avenue interchange.
Motorists traveling through the work zone should expect lane restrictions and be aware of commercial work vehicles traveling in and out of the area. The work zone speed limit has been reduced to 55 mph and the California Highway Patrol will be present for traffic enforcement.
