NAVER Corporation (CEO Choi Soo-yeon) has officially launched the NAVER Plus Store app today, featuring personalized product recommendations based on proprietary generative AI technology.

The NAVER Plus Store analyzes vast amounts of product data using NAVER's HyperCLOVA X and combines this with user preferences, purchase history, context, and intent. This allows the app to prioritize relevant product recommendations to users while offering valuable benefits to assist in purchase decisions.

From the user's perspective, NAVER's AI recommendations allow them to find desired or interesting products easily and quickly. From the seller's perspective, they can target users with a higher likelihood of purchasing rather than a broad audience, enabling them to implement a so-called 'Loyal customer-tech' marketing strategy. NAVER plans to continuously enhance its AI recommendation and matching functions to support this approach.

With the launch of the NAVER Plus Store app, NAVER has introduced two new features: the "AI Shopping Guide" and "Discovery."

When users search for 'laptop' in NAVER Plus Store, the AI Shopping Guide will recommend the most suitable laptops based on AI-analyzed usability factors, such as "ideal for design work," "highly portable," "optimized for high-performance gaming," "suitable for office use," and "great for college students."

Even users with little prior knowledge about laptops can rely on the AI Shopping Guide to quickly narrow down their options and select the most suitable product with ease.

The AI Shopping Guide feature will be applied first to electronic product categories such as laptops, mobile phones, refrigerators, and air conditioners. Its scope will be expanded, and personalized recommendation capabilities will be further enhanced moving forward.

Another new feature in the NAVER Plus Store is "Discovery." It is a personalized short-form content recommendation service, which can be accessed in the "Discovery" tab at the bottom of the store app. Short-form videos, around 30 seconds long, introduce popular trending products, allowing users to explore and purchase items across various categories instantly.

■ 10% discount coupon for customers making their first in-app purchase after installing the new app … "NAVER Plus Open Week" to offer first-come, first-served discount coupons of 10% and 15% starting March 17

A large-scale discount event will also take place to celebrate the launch of the NAVER Plus Store app.

Starting from March 12, customers making their first purchase through the app will receive a 10% discount coupon (up to KRW 5,000) on purchases of KRW 20,000 or more.

From March 17-30, the "NAVER Plus Store Open Week" event will take place for 14 days, with participation from over 6,000 partner companies.

During the event period, at 12:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. daily, the NAVER Plus Store app will offer discount coupons on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be 10% off (up to KRW 3,000) on purchases of KRW 20,000 or more and 15% off (up to KRW 8,000) on purchases of KRW 50,000 or more.

*Each user ID can receive one coupon per time slot on a first-come, first-served basis through the NAVER Plus Store app. The coupon is valid until 11:59 p.m. on the same day and applies only to selected event products, with some exclusions.

Additionally, NAVER Plus membership users can receive an extra 5% reward and an additional 10% reward for "Super Reward" products, allowing for a total of up to 15% in reward benefits.

During the event period, various discount promotions will be available on the NAVER Plus Store, including the "App Time Deal," where five products are offered at an exceptional discount using a first-come, first-served 50% off coupon at 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. daily. The "One Day Deal" will offer special prices on over 20 products on a daily basis, and the "99 Deal," which provides grocery items, will offer discounts of up to 90% or more.

■ Launching alongside the app, "NAVER Delivery" begins … free shipping, free returns, and exchanges fully available for membership users

With the launch of the NAVER Plus Store app, the delivery service will also be upgraded from "NAVER Arrival Guarantee" to "NAVER Delivery (N Delivery)" starting on March 12.

Delivery options will be further refined, including "Same-Day Delivery" for orders placed between 12:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.; "Next-Day Delivery" for orders placed between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 a.m. (with cutoff times varying between 6:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m., depending on the seller); "Sunday Delivery" for orders placed between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 a.m. on Saturdays; and "Preferred Date Delivery," which allows buyers to specify their desired delivery date.

In addition, all NAVER Plus Membership users can receive free shipping on purchases of KRW 10,000 and more, with free returns and exchanges, which is also provided as a standard benefit.(Free returns and exchanges are limited to one per order, with some exceptions such as N Preferred Date Delivery and cash-on-delivery items.)

Previously, free returns and exchanges were only available for products from sellers using the Return Relief Care service. However, from now on, membership holders can return or exchange most products for free through NAVER Delivery.

A 24-hour customer service center for membership users will also launch alongside the app. Members can also inquire about product details, track deliveries, request exchanges or refunds at any time through the customer service center, and receive prompt responses, which enhances customer satisfaction.

Meanwhile, various exclusive partnership benefits for NAVER Plus Membership users, such as free access to Netflix's ad-supported standard plan and up to 20% discounts and rewards at GS25 convenience stores, will be further expanded and enhanced within the year.
