State Street Announces Winners of the 2024 Institutional Press Awards Asia Pacific
HONG KONG, April 8, 2025 - State Street Corporation (NYSE: STT) announced today the winners of the State Street Institutional Press Awards Asia Pacific 2024, which recognize outstanding news reporting on institutional finance in the Asia Pacific region.
The Awards were introduced into Asia Pacific in 2012, leveraging the success of the State Street Institutional Press Awards held annually in London since 2002. The winning articles were chosen based on their style, content, accuracy and timeliness, and were judged by an independent panel of seven industry professionals led by William Mellor, independent writer and producer, and former senior writer and Asia correspondent for Bloomberg News. The panel of judges also included:
· Raymond Li, professor of Practice and Head of Department of Journalism, Hong Kong Baptist University
· Dr. King Au, executive director, Financial Services Development Council (FSDC)
· Peter Stein, chief executive officer, Asia Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association (ASIFMA)
· Jenny Lee, deputy secretary general, Hong Kong Green Finance Association (HKGFA)
· Jame DiBiasio, author, journalist and media entrepreneur
· Alison Tudor, former journalist and multimedia editor
The marquee Award for Outstanding Contribution to Institutional Journalism, which was nominated and voted by the judges, was awarded to Lulu Chen, Asia investing and real estate team leader, deputy managing editor,Bloomberg. The judges commended her decade-long record of scoops and analytical reporting, along with her achievements in publishing. Recognized early in her career with the "Best Newcomer" award at the 2012 Asia Pacific State Street Press Awards, Chen has since mastered two of Asia's most challenging beats: tech and investing. Now serving as team leader and deputy managing editor, she continues to lead by example, delivering groundbreaking stories and insights across China's investing, technology, and real estate sectors.
