La Mirada Community Foundation Awards Scholarships

The City Council recently recognized seven graduating seniors who were awarded scholarships by the La Mirada Community Foundation.
Since 2005, the La Mirada Community Foundation has awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships to 111 graduating seniors from La Mirada and other local high schools. The Bob Jenkins Community Service Scholarship is awarded to students who reside in
La Mirada, have demonstrated a strong commitment to community service, and have applied to an accredited college or university.
The Bob Jenkins Community Service Scholarship was presented to Sofia Alonso, Jimmy Arellano, Erica Dickens, Miranda Gonzalez, Isaiah Rosales, Jazmine Verma, and Isabella Widosh.
