Hounslow Council launches new online offer for children with SEND

The SEND Local Offer website launched on Wednesday, 15 January 2025 and offers invaluable advice, guidance, and support for those navigating SEND services in Hounslow. Developed in collaboration with the Hounslow community, including over 300 young people, parents, carers, and professionals, the website serves as a vital resource for anyone supporting children with SEND. It offers an array of tools, information, and services to help families and professionals navigate the support available for SEND children and young people. This includes information for families to search their local area for a range of activities, clubs and leisure opportunities available for children and young people with SEND in and around the borough of Hounslow.

Councillor Samia Chaudhary, Cabinet Member for Education, Children, Skills & Employment said "We are thrilled to launch the new SEND Local Offer website, which has been created with the invaluable input of our community. This resource ensures that families can have easy access to information about the support and services that will help children and young people thrive. We're excited to continue working together to build a more inclusive, supportive environment for all."

To celebrate the launch of the new website, Hounslow Council will be hosting a launch event on Friday, 24 January 2025, from 10am to 4:30pm at Hounslow House, Bath Road, TW3 3EB. The event will be a marketplace featuring both Council services and external partners, offering the chance for parents, carers, and professionals to learn more about the services and support available to children with SEND. The event is open to all, and no invitation is required. Parents and carers are encouraged to drop by anytime.
