Man Charged with Criminal Homicide for Stabbing Death Inside his Murfreesboro Pike Apartment
Timothy Scarbrough, 61, is charged with criminal homicide for the stabbing death of an unknown man inside Scarbrough's apartment at 985 Murfreesboro Pike.
Scarbrough called 911 Saturday night. Officers arrived around 8:30 p.m. and located the deceased man. Due to the trauma he sustained to his face, he was unable to be identified.
He also did not have any identification on his person. The Medical Examiner will work to positively identify him.
During an interview, Scarbrough said that he and the victim had been drinking and doing drugs all day. He told detectives that he suspected that the victim had been taking
Scarbrough's drugs and reselling them to him. Scarbrough claimed to have left the apartment around 6 p.m. and when he returned, he found the man deceased. His statements did not match the evidence at the scene. The suspected murder weapon was recovered in the apartment.
Scarbrough remains jailed on $200,000 bond.
